Cookie policy
When you visit the Orisil-Pharm website, we may store or retrieve information in your browser, primarily in the form of cookies. This information may relate to you, your settings, or your device and is generally used to make the website function as expected. This Cookie Policy complements our general Privacy Notice regarding the processing of personal data.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small piece of data (a text file) that a website (when visited by a user) asks to save in the browser on your device to remember information about you, such as language settings or login details. Cookies set by us are called first-party cookies. We also use other cookies for our advertising and marketing activities, which are cookies from a domain other than the domain of the visited website. Some cookies simplify the use of our Website, while others are used for faster login or tracking your activities on our Website. Below, we describe the types of cookies and similar technologies that we use.
Session / Persistent cookies
Cookies can be divided based on their storage duration into “persistent” or “session” cookies. The website uses both persistent and session cookies.
- Session cookies are stored only during an active online session. Once the browser session ends or the device is turned off, they are deleted from your device. We use session cookies so that our systems can identify you during a session or when logging into the Website. This allows us to process your online transactions, and inquiries, and verify your identity while browsing our Website.
- Persistent cookies are not deleted from your device after the browser session ends or the device is turned off. They are stored in the browser and remain active until a specified expiration date (unless the user deletes them earlier). We use persistent cookies to track aggregated and statistical information about user activities.
Other tracking technologies
Transparent GIF, pixel tags, and other technologies. Transparent GIFs are small graphic objects with a unique identifier that function similarly to cookies. Unlike cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard drive, transparent GIFs are discreetly embedded on websites and in programs. We may use transparent GIFs (also known as web beacons, web bugs, or pixel tags) to monitor activities on the website and in applications, manage content, and collect statistical data on website usage. Both we and our third-party service providers also use transparent GIFs in HTML emails to assess the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, as well as to track when our emails are viewed or forwarded.
- Flash Local Storage Objects (Flash LSOs) can be used to store settings and personalization for website visits. Flash LSOs differ from browser cookies in terms of the amount and type of data they store. Typically, Flash LSOs cannot be controlled, deleted, or disabled through your web browser. To check the Flash LSOs currently stored on your computer, select the “Website Storage Settings Panel” and follow the instructions to review or, if necessary, delete specific Flash LSOs.
- External advertising networks, such as ad networks, analysts, or marketing partners (“external advertising companies”), are used to personalize content, display ads on the website, and manage our advertising on external sites. This allows us and these third parties to tailor ads to your interests using cookies, pixel tags, and other tools. These external cookies and technologies are not covered by this policy; they are governed by the privacy policy or cookie policy of the respective third parties.
How do we use cookies?
We specifically use cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes:
- to facilitate navigation;
- to assist with registration for services or the website, logging in, and leaving feedback;
- to analyze the use of our Website, products, services, or applications;
- to support our advertising and marketing activities (including behavioral advertising).
Below, we describe the types of cookies we use on our Website. Our Website is scanned using a cookie-scanning tool to maintain accurate cookie lists. You can opt out of any cookie category (except for essential cookies) by clicking the “Cookie Settings” button at the bottom of the webpage.
- Essential cookies are required for the Website to function, so they cannot be disabled in our systems. They include, for example, cookies that enable logging into secure areas of the Website, using a shopping cart, or electronic invoicing services. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as privacy settings, logging in, or filling out a form. You can configure your browser to block these cookies or alert you about them, but some parts of the Website may not work. These cookies do not store any personal information.
- Performance cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the Website’s performance. They help us know which pages are most popular and least popular, and how visitors navigate the Website. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you visited our Website and will be unable to monitor its performance.
- Functional cookies allow the Website to provide advanced features and personalization (such as region or language selection). They can be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our sites. If you do not allow the use of these cookies, some or all of these services may not function properly.
- Targeting cookies may be set by our advertising partners through our Site. Some of our partners may use cookies or web beacons (a file in the form of a single-pixel image) to create a profile of your interests and display relevant ads to you on other sites. They do not store personal information directly but rely on the unique identification of your browser and Internet device. If you don’t allow these cookies, you will receive less targeted advertising.
- Social media cookies are set by a number of social media we have added to the Site to allow you to share our content with your friends and contacts. They can track your browser on other sites and create a profile of your interests. This may affect the content and messages you see on other sites you visit. If you do not allow these cookies, you may not be able to use or see the sharing tools.

These organizations may use cookies and other tracking technologies, such as web beacons, to provide their services.
